The driveway is a 1-mile gravel road shared with neighbors. Drive slowly; most cars do just fine, but low-clearance sports cars with spoilers/body kits may scrape.
Follow signs for Hill Country Nature Retreat and park in the designated lot, or follow your retreat hostโs instructions.

What to Expect During Your Stay
๐ฟ Peaceful Environment
A quiet, natural setting with walking paths, open spaces, and plenty of room to unwind.
๐พ Wildlife
The property is home to Hill Country wildlife. You may see:
deer, jackrabbits, road runners, wild turkeys, rabbits
armadillos, robins, cardinals, hawks, and many other birds
owls at night, and occasionally coyotes in the distance
Less commonly, you may encounter:
Scorpions: shake out shoes and bedding if camping or outdoors
Kissing bugs (Google images): kill them on sight
Rattlesnakes: very rare here; they avoid people
Please observe wildlife from a safe distance.

Lodging is comfortable with basic amenities; some areas are rustic or eco-friendly.
Water is 100% rain-captured. Please practice conservation.
Walk carefully on uneven paths, especially at night.
Use common sense around fire features and outdoor areas.

Many units have decks, patios, or natural outdoor areas ; enjoy them safely.

Some paths have uneven terrain or steps. Please check with your retreat host if you have specific needs.

Comfortable indoor/outdoor shoes; closed-toe shoes for walking trails
Layers for shifting temperatures
Flashlight or headlamp for nighttime walks
Insect repellent
Personal toiletries (basic soap/shampoo provided)
Reusable water bottle or cup
Optional: journal, sunhat, sunglasses, book, meditation cushion
House Rules
Respect quiet hours and other guests.
No smoking indoors. Outdoor smoking is okay only if pre-approved by your retreat host.
Fires only in designated areas and only when burn bans allow.
No pets allowed.
Leave spaces clean; dispose of trash properly.
Use caution on trails and outdoor areas.
Observe wildlife from a distance; do not disturb plants or animals.
Ask permission before photographing other guests or retreat activities.
